AOL (NYSE: TWX) has launched a UK mobile portal which aggregates information from AOL’s website and other sites, and optimizes it for mobile. The portal also includes Web Surf, E-mail and Search, with AOL planning to expand that to include 3G, music and location based products in 2008 reports Mad.co.uk. AOL will attempt to sell ads across its online and mobile sites in the UK, and will initially market the portal to its 6.7 million unique users. It will also move its business from Ad Tech to Third Screen Media, which it bought earlier this year.
