Associated Northcliffe Digital Restructures, Ditches MD Hart

By Robert Andrews - Tue 08 Jul 2008 07:52 AM PST

Associated Northcliffe Digital’s MD Andy Hart has left DMGT’s online unit abruptly after six years, ahead of another upcoming restructure. An Associated Newspapers statement (via Hold The Front Page) read: “As AND prepares itself for the next phase of growth, focusing on jobs, property and cars and including further expansion into international markets, the company will be making some organisational changes, as a result of which Andy and the company have mutually agreed to part company.” Associated MD Kevin Beatty credited Hart with having strengthened the online business through acquisitions.

AND already underwent restructure to separate news and commercial divisions in October, when its integrated media division was shut and control of individual newspaper websites was handed back to those titles. Details of the restructure are unclear but it could hint at further changes.
