BBC’s iPlayer Now On Virgin Media Platform

The BBC has struck a deal with Virgin Media to put its iPlayer service on the internet and phone provider’s cable network. Virgin Media Customers will now be able to catch-up on the past week’s worth of BBC programming as part of Virgin Media’s video-on-demand service. Previously, the iPlayer was only available through the web. Virgin plans later this summer to integrate the more than 350 hours of programming per week into its electronic programme guide, which will make it easier to find shows. The service is free for watching BBC shows through the iPlayer on Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED).
