Broadband Content Bits: German Flirts, ITN Ads, Bounty.tv Launch

By Robert Andrews - Thu 03 Jul 2008 12:20 AM PST

-- Flirtomatic: UK web and mobile “flirting service” Flirtomatic is partnering with broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 (FRA: PSM) to launch in Germany. The site has started a German version in readiness for a link-up with the TV network’s SevenOne Intermedia multimedia group, which will promote the service across its brands. Flirtomatic features include an online chat facility, personal profiles, photos, and videos. A fifth of users come from outside the UK anyway, and the site is planning further localisations.

-- ITN/Blinkx: News house ITN will use Blinkx’s AdHoc ad platform to serve contextual in-video ads in the packages it distributes to a growing number of publishers, following an earlier trial with the video search index. Release.

-- Bounty: Parents’ portal Bounty.com - bought in November by Canada’s Kaboose for $140 million - is launching an online TV offering, Bounty.tv with 30 new videos per month. Bounty is investing £300,000 in new content over the next 12 months. The TV site has soft-launched and will go liver in earnest at end of July.
