German Online Ad Sales Firm Ad2Net Sold To VC Firm For About Eur 3.2 Million

By Rafat Ali - Sat 31 May 2008 03:18 PM PST

German internet company OnVista has sold off its online ad sales subsidiary Ad2Net to local venture capital firm Media Ventures GmbH, for about Euro 1.6 million, plus a “media volume for advertising services over a term of three years”, which represents roughly the same value, the companies said. Media Ventures’ portfolio includes orangemedia and BusinessAd. OnVista will now focus on its core online business of financial markets, with its OnVista finance portal and the financial community Tradingbird.

OnVista also announced that it is currently in talks with a “major German publishing house” about the sale of its online marketing company Ligatus GmbH.
