Industry Moves: Hachette Hires Jones, Splits Web/Print In Restructure

By Robert Andrews - Wed 30 Jul 2008 07:17 AM PST

Elle publisher Hachette Filipacchi has given acting digital director Anna Jones the role permanently, but has combined it with her previous head of marketing role - the same thing Absolute Radio did this month. The digital role was vacated by former Associated News Digital boss Dave Killeen after three years in February. Jones now oversees sites including ElleUK.com, Sugarscape and Digital Spy, which it acquired in April. In what looks like the opposite of newsroom integration, H-F is also embarking on a separate restructure that will split its portfolio in to two groups, with separate teams heading the online and print divisions of each, NMA says.
