Industry Moves: Handbag’s Stenner Becomes IPC Digital Director

By Robert Andrews - Tue 04 Dec 2007 02:43 AM PST

Alicen Stenner, group digital marketing director and publisher at NatMags’ Handbag women’s site, is joining magazine publisher IPC Southbank as digital director. Time Warner-owned IPC created two similar new roles, one a digital director to the IPC Connect women’s mags unit and the other a digital advertising director for ad division IPC Weeklies, back in October. But it leaves NatMags shaken electronically after Hearst Digital UK MD Nancy Cruickshank quit to become VideoJug CEO in the same month. The publisher was due to undergoe an autumn restructure to see it focus on two digital units - one to run its five online-only publications and another to jointly manage print-online brands. Prior to taking the group director and publisher role, Stenner had been Handbag’s brand director for seven years. IPC this year strengthened its female-orientated online proposition by launching HouseToHome, Marie Claire and InStyle online
