CacheLogic, a Cambridge, UK-based P2P technology firm, has raised another big round: it has received $25 million in new fourth round of funding, according to Dan Rayburn, and has raised a total of about $50 million to date. In July 2006, it announced a $20 million third round.

CacheLogic was founded in 2002 and provides P2P content delivery and monitoring services to the ISP sector. It supports delivery of video content in a more efficient way, or so it says. The company has recently started working with BBC to help with the expected traffic surge when the BBC’s iPlayer comes out of beta, the story says. It also works with the likes of Italian football club AC Milan and Babelgu for video delivery.

The new round was raised from previous investors, which included Amadeus Capital Partners, 3i and Pentech Ventures, among others.
