Telegraph Business Reporters First To Work Across Daily, Sunday And Website

By Robert Andrews - Fri 16 Nov 2007 05:48 AM PST

And so it begins. Telegraph business desk journalists will be the first to work across The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk throughout the week as the paper takes its next, and perhaps boldest, step toward multimedia integration. Despite the move to a swanky new Victoria HQ kitted out to serve a range of different media forms, the financial coverage of each title will retain its identity.

Sunday Telegraph editor Patience Wheatcroft’s resignation in September over “strategic differences” was attributed to her ”failure to embrace the internet” and The Observer editor Roger Alton quit last month seemingly over a looming integration with The Guardian and Guardian Unlimited. The Telegraph move comes with a raft of editorial staff changes, including the promotion of former digital city editor Richard Blackdown to Daliy Telegraph city editor - he will edit both the print pages and web copy, Press Gazette said.
