Vodafone UK Incorporates Internet Pricing Into Monthly Plan

Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) UK is doing away with its separately priced internet bundles, and instead will now integrate the cost of access to the mobile web and email into its monthly price plans. The network said the move, which is only available to pay monthly customers, would give subscribers “greater confidence” to browse the mobile web without having to worry about running up their phone bills. The new price plans start at £25 ($50) and include unlimited access to the internet and email and are subject to a fair usage policy of 500MB per month.
Along with the new price plans, Vodafone released some tidbits on its top mobile web searches and top sites accessed. Social nets once again proved their pulling power, with Facebook coming in as the most searched term on Vodafone’s mobile web, and as the network’s most visited site. Meanwhile, 4 of Vodafone’s top ten sites visited were social nets, including Bebo (5), MySpace (8), and YouTube (10).
Vodafone’s Top 4 Searches: 1) Facebook, 2) Bebo, 3) eBay (NSDQ: EBAY), 4) Windows Live Hotmail
Vodafone’s Top 10 Most Visited Sites: 1) Facebook, 2) Google (NSDQ: GOOG), 3) BBC, 4) MSN, 5) Bebo, 6) Sony (NYSE: SNE) Ericsson (NSDQ: ERIC), 7) Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), 8) MySpace, 9) Windows live Hotmail, 10) YouTube
