Emap Revenues Down On Tough UK Ad Market

EMAP (EMA.L) announced that it expects a two percent decline in underlying revenue for the first half of 2006 and blamed the stagnating UK advertising market. Shares were down 4.5 percent after the statement, although the company also said digital revenues have risen 55 percent to $111.1 million led by B2B titles. Emap is investing £28 million in new product development “increasingly focused on digital initiatives”.
