EU Approves Carphone Warehouse-AOL UK Deal

The Carphone Warehouse Group has EU approval to acquire AOL UK, according to AFP. The commission decided the $726 million (370 million pounds) deal would impede effective European competition. The deal still is exected to close by December 31.
It’s all part oif AOL’s switch from being a major ISP in Europe to a pure-play content and services provider.
