France’s Club Internet Will Offer Microsoft TV Edition-Powered Triple Play

By Staci D. Kramer - Fri 09 Jun 2006 12:07 PM PST

Club Internet, the French subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom Group and the country’s fourth-ranked ISP, is planning to launch a triple-play package with IPTV, voice and data later this month—all powered by Microsoft TV Edition. Current customers will have access first; new customers will have to wait until August. It’s a first in France and the first such effort by Deutsche Telecom. The added factor of being one of the first global launches for Microsoft likely means it will be watched very carefully for signs of any problems. The German rollout is scheduled later this summer with BT Group launching in the UK later this year. Press release.
