Polish Newspaper Site Turns to a More Realistic Business Model

By Rafat Ali - Thu 12 Jun 2003 09:06 AM PST

On the 10th anniversary of Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita‘s website launch, access to the newspaper’s archive, containing all articles published over the decade, became a paid service. With access granted by sending an SMS text message, it has brought Rzeczpospolita OnLine back into favor with market observers.

Very interestingly, access to the site is granted by sending an SMS text message...though I am not sure if this is a one-time thing or every access session.
