Reuters has launched a mobile news service offering global news stories to mobile users in the UK and the US, as the news service aims expand its mobile audience.
The free service delivers the top ten news stories written by Reuters correspondents in 200 bureaux around the world. Each story is illustrated with pictures from photographers on the scene. The firm said that some 73,000 people a month in the UK, US and France already access Reuters news on their mobiles and PDAs via a service available on AvantGo.
